From Knowledge to Wisdom

My Approach

01

See the whole.

Independent counsel for leaders and institutions facing complex decisions and human challenges.

02

Find the pattern.

I pay close attention to recurrence, contradiction, and what does not fit the obvious explanation.

03

Reframe the problem.

A well-framed problem changes the quality of the decisions that follow.

04

Surface what is missing.

The absent voice, hidden assumption, or unasked question often matters more than another dataset.

05

Clarify the decision.

What is known? What is uncertain? What matters most? And what requires courage?

Knowledge asks what is true. Wisdom asks what matters, what we are missing, and what the situation now requires.

Strategic Advisory

I advise senior leaders, institutions, and teams facing complex decisions involving people, behaviour, systems, and competing priorities.
I help leaders and institutions see the human forces shaping complex problems —the relationships, incentives, norms, and unspoken assumptions that data alone cannot reveal. The goal is not more information. It is wise action.
My work may involve strategic counsel, problem framing, behavioural insight, research interpretation, or sustained thought partnership

Counselling

I offer one-to-one counsel for people navigating difficult decisions, relationships, recurring patterns, family dynamics, leadership dilemmas, purpose, or faith
My approach is warm, perceptive, and honest. I listen carefully, ask difficult questions, and help you examine what may be shaping your situation—your thoughts, emotions, relationships, beliefs, and the circumstances that surround you. I draw on science and wisdom to understand the full picture, address root causes, not just symptoms.
I create conditions of sympathy—a space in which people can be seen, heard, and taken seriously as they navigate difficult decisions, relationships, and life transitions. The goal is not simply to feel better in the moment, but to leave you better equipped—with clarity, resilience, and practical insight for the road ahead.

Counselling with me is not a substitute for emergency, psychiatric, medical, or specialist clinical care.

Research

I investigate complex questions involving human behaviour, health, systems, and implementation.
I investigate the relational and epistemic dimensions of health systems—the conditions under which people become legitimate producers of knowledge and judgement. My work asks: What changes in people and systems when communities are given sustained opportunities to interpret shared problems and act collectively? And through which relational, psychological, and institutional pathways do those changes produce health effects?
My work draws on behavioural science, social epidemiology, qualitative and mixed-methods inquiry, and practice across global contexts.

Speaking & Education

I speak and teach across behaviour, wisdom, decision-making, leadership, institutions, faith, and human experience.
am available for lectures, keynotes, panels, workshops, and selected teaching engagements
Every session is grounded in the conviction that knowledge asks what is true; wisdom asks what matters. The goal is not to transmit information, but to cultivate the capacities for discernment, connection, and wise action.
Each session is tailored to your context—whether you are a leadership team, a faith-based organisation, or a workplace seeking to become more humane, compassionate, productive, and creative.

The Underlying Conviction

I believe that health systems, organisations, and communities possess abundant knowledge about what works—clinical evidence, protocols, data, frameworks. What they often lack is the relational and interpretive capacity to apply that knowledge wisely: in context, with attention to human experience, weighing values and consequences, and asking what the situation now requires

My work is about building that capacity. Not through more information—but through the creation of human infrastructure in which sympathy can flourish and wisdom can emerge.

Knowledge is abundant. Wisdom is not.
